Oh, yeah. AW is famous for offering nice young writers, really decent folks of every kind, that first taste, for free. And maybe a second taste, too, because hey, we like you. You're good people, and we promote writerly camaraderie along with free tastes. By then, the writer's got not so much a habit as a yen for more, and we provide it, all still free, and the yen becomes a hankering, next a strong urge, then a desire, until in no time at all it's a full-out addiction requiring massive numbers of minutes at AW every single day, and if you don't get it your hands shake and your head throbs and you can't pay attention to work or your family, because damn it, you need your AW now.

That's when we send you to the Bargains Board and Dawno's Cafe Press store, knowing that you need AW, so badly you'll pay for it. Oh, yes, you'll pay...

Maryn, hoping you'll all support AW however you can

And then... after AW has hooked you, picked your pockets and left you penniless... it makes you work here! :)

I know that under those demonic glowing green eyes beats a warm human heart.

You should give it back.
Hmmm, I was wondering what that hollow feeling in my chest was all about...now I know. Haggy Baby stole my heart. ;)

I hope you offer concessions to the unwaged! :scared:
Seriously, it's a great site. I nearly qualify for the rehab program already. I have also found out just how little I know about writing and I've spent the last two days removing about a million commas from my MS and reducing the hyperbole. ;) Ooooops ...
