Last night I actually dreamed bout the AW forum. I was reading something in the Share Your Work but it was too confusing so I went to user CP to see if I had any new rep posts... then I woke up.

It may be time to consider that 12-step program...

That's funny. Thankfully I haven't dreamed of this place yet, but when I do, I'll probably be taking a vacation.

I was gonna jokingly say, "I dream of Jenna," until I realized that's also the name of a Jenna Jameson porn.

I mean...uh...that's...that's what I've heard, anyway. I mean...come on!

Me? Porn? No way!

I mean...I...uh...I don't watch that stuff.

Jenna who? Jenna Jameson? Never heard of her.

Who's that?

...is anyone else in here hot?

Gee, would ya look at the time!

*bolts for the door*

Sad thing is, about 5% of the people who come to AbsoluteWrite.com were looking for "Jenna Jameson." I have no idea how our site comes up for that. Maybe one of my writers had the last name Jameson and my first name was on the page...

Vein, I've had dreams about people on the forums. But they're always weird dreams!

There's nothing wrong with being mistaken as Jenna Jameson...

She sells a lot of books.

:Headbang: When you sit around and wonder about things....you know....things...

 If a horse sweats, a man perspires and a woman mists.
Does that make me a 'mister'?

Important kinds of things. (inquiring minds want to know):Smack:

If AW is a Force to be reckoned with, and PA is the Dark Side, then who would be Jar-Jar?

These are the thoughts I had after only two weeks of being gone.

It's gone too far when......
You realise the person you were arguing with is upside down in a patch of brambles, and you can't help laughing at the socks they chose to wear that morning.

It's gone too far when you've dreamt you actually DO live in the AW Landfill with the kittehs. Which I did dream the other night.

11-26-2007, 08:02 PM
You are not alone. I visited the "AW Theme Park" a couple months ago in my dreams. There was a long line to meet Haggis... I woke up before I got to meet him though.
A couple weeks ago I also dreamed my rep box was filled with green flashing things...the next morning I saw Kadea had repped me with about 30 yodas with green flahing light sabers....that was feaky.

Is there enough therapy for this?

I dreamed the other night that a bunch of the posters in P&CE were having a televised presidential-style debate. Every podium had a hello kitty picture on it, and they used buzzers Jeopardy-style. I was trying to figure out how to get my DVD player to record it and I broke the player; then I realized I could just look up the YouTube version the next day as it was sure to be linked somewhere on the forums...

Yes, I need help. Serious, professional help.

The few dreams I've had of AW have taken place in a multicolored Escheresque house of geometric ambiguities.

11-26-2007, 09:31 PM
I had a dream that someone kept resurrecting old posts and eventually got banned.

11-26-2007, 09:33 PM
GOD DAMNED FRIG! Another thread brought up from the dead. Don't you have anything to say on the new threads. I mean, Jesus!

11-26-2007, 09:37 PM
Hey Spanner knock it off! I actually rep'd VG.

Come up with some new stuff Spanner or else.

If I were a mod...

11-26-2007, 09:45 PM
Sorry, I didn't see that this was old till after I'd posted. (But I really did have the dream.) After yesterday's total mess I now look at all thread start dates. Sorry for adding to this one, and KTC, I agree.

11-26-2007, 09:46 PM
Oh my. Nothing like a little peer pressure...

Guys, ease up just a bit, okay? We did speak with Spanner about the old thread thing and the netiquette of the situation. She's workin' with us -- it's a big, daunting board, though, and unless you're already pretty comfortable with boards and how they work, it can take some serious trial and error. Upon first signing up, when you hit "new posts" the system spits up everything because it's ALL new to you. Unless you already know to look close, you can easily miss how old a thread might be.

11-26-2007, 09:52 PM

Still love ya Spanner. I just don't look at the dates at the top and bringing up old stuff can get confusing. '

Start new threads that you find interesting and give them a twist for 2007. I do it all the time.

Just ignore the people that say "We've already done this!"

I hate whiners! :tongue

Welcome to AW Spanner3!

11-26-2007, 10:04 PM
Geez, remind me to stay on everyone’s good side… or ignore list. :D

11-26-2007, 10:06 PM
How come post 20 is missing?

11-26-2007, 10:14 PM
Hey, I got a rep point out of it so I'm happy :)

11-26-2007, 10:15 PM
You're welcome.

11-26-2007, 10:15 PM
How come post 20 is missing?Don't make me find you, Terri.

It's gone to far when....

You realize not only have you not spoken to your parents (who are downstairs doing things) in over 48 hours, you forgot to go to work AND you've missed 12 phone calls and 25 text messages.

....yeah. some therapy MAY be necessary.

Ken Schneider made a guest appearance in my dream 2 nights ago. I don't remember what it was about, only that I was worried about him. Now I have to go make sure...
