Well, not quite, but almost.

AW will be down for a couple of hours tomorrow (Sunday) starting at 9:00 AM Eastern Standard Time. A few tweaks here and there will be performed on the system, and during that time, the site will not be accessible.

So don't say I didn't warn ya and then start fifty threads tomorrow wondering what happened. :)

I don't know about you, but I'll be sleeping through it!

Come to think of it, it does sound corny, which must be why at this point, more than half the viewers have responded!

What are you all complainin' about? I'll have to be awake and caffeinated by 6 am my time.

It would be a kindness if y'all could just refrain from checking "just in case" to see if AW is back.

It slows down the utility scripts we'll be running, and is generally a PITA when we're working.

If you're the type to really really be jonesing, then drop me a PM and I'll PM you when we sound the all clear.

I will be making breakfast for 6 guests staying at my parents house around 7 am CST. It took 10 days, but I have perfected Cream Cheese Stuffed French Toast. I will be serving that with homemade strawberry preserves and/or WI's finest maple syrup (well the finest we have). I will also be doing made to order omelets, bacon, sausage and toast (ya get wheat bread - no whining about that). I will not be squeezing oranges, but we will serve juice, milk, coffee (no tea, sorry).

The more the merrier and you are all welcome to come on over and eat in shifts (seating for 20 max at a time unless you do not mind picnic tables in the back yard - then we can seat about 150).

Thanks for the heads up!
You're welcome. :)

I'm surprised I was made aware of it beforehand, since usually I happen along like everyone else, trying to log on, getting frustrated, wondering wtf is going on. Then I take a break, come back after five minutes, and still nothing. So I try to keep myself occupied, like deciding what to make for dinner, and after making elaborate plans that consumes at least thirty minutes, I return to find the site is STILL freaking down.

So now I'm running out of things to do. I give the dog a bath, 'cause you know she's getting kinda stinky anyway. I towel her off, taking extra care to dry her so she doesn't rub herself all over the carpets. That takes a while.

And wouldn't you know the site is STILL not up?

My wife notices something is amiss and says, "What's the matter?"

"Nothing."

"How come you're not on the computer?"

I shrug.

Then she starts acting weird, caressing me and acting friendly. Her hot breath is all over me. Before I succumb to her wanton ways, I check to see if AW is up and running.

And it is! I thank my wife for her concern and brush her away and get right back to work answering PMs and reading threads.
