What do you do if you don't have a physical address that CAN get mail?

I think I have heard th at agents and book publishers dislike dealing with PO Boxes, is that true? I might be moving to a place where there is no mail box and have to rely on a PO Box. What does that do to my chances of getting an agent? Does it really screw me up like I think it will? :(

I've been stationed overseas, via military, for over seven years now and ONLY use a P.O. Box address.

Not only do agents/editors send replies/requests/rejections to P.O.Boxes, they arrive in just as timely a manner as if I were stateside.

Infact...those bloody rejections seem to arrive even FASTER!!

So, start sending. No worries.

Awesome Inky thank you for sharing your personal experience with using a PO Box that makes me feel much more at ease. :D

I have never heard agents and editors rejecting anyone because of P.O. Boxes. It's just another address, especially if they have a SASE... what would they care?

In fact, I recommend everyone, including published authors, to get a P. O. Box so they can handle fan mail, etc.

Nearly all the responses you want to receive from agents come by e-mail.
