Anybody from Rockport, MA?

I've been to this town numerous times and am familiar with most parts of it, but there's one bit I'm missing, so anybody from Rockport and/or anybody who's greatly familiar with it:

Rockport, MA is a dry town (or at least it was until a short time ago). So what I'm wondering is, where do people from Rockport go to get drunk?

Gloucester, apparently, which is about 10 minutes away. I've never been to Rockport, but there's this great web site called Virtual Tourist:

It depends on the scenario. Glocester's a good bet, or any of the surrounding seaside towns.

If it's a night out, Boston.

You can drink in Rockport if you're willing to foot the bill for it:

The Town of Rockport requires that, "alcoholic beverages only be ordered in conjunction with the consumption of a meal." A meal consists of an entree or multiple servings of other dishes.

It depends on what's going on in your story.

Sigh. New England. I've been here 15 years and I'm still trying to navigate our wacky alcohol laws!
