For a partial memoir manuscript? I have to send one away to an agent, and it's over 31,000 words at this stage. Anyone know how long a partial should be or what the range of a full is?

This probably isn't too helpful, but I would think it depends on the agent. If he/she didn't specify (and doesn't mention anything on his/her website/submission guidelines) I would consider shooting brief email asking for clarification (with all other correspondence included at the bottom so the agent remembers who you are).
If you look at agent blogs you'll see answers varying from 10 pages to the entire manuscript. I think the short answer to how much is too much is something along the lines of, 'until you run out of strong material.'
