Best Rejection Ever

Okay, the letter was a rejection, but I'm certainly not dejected! For the first time in over five years of submitting (and getting my shares of rejection), I received a hand-written letter about why my short story wasn't accepted. First he apologized for not getting back to me sooner, then he critiqued my piece.

Just had to share this, since so many times those ubiquitous form letters come back in our SASE's.

So, good rejection does happen!

Yes, that particular short story has been making the rounds with no success, so that wonderful editor helped me immensely(sp? where's my dictionary....). The funny thing is, is that I've had acceptances that were form letters with just "Dear Author" in the greeting. Go figure.
