I'm in the middle of writing my sample chapters and am desperate to know how I cite my work. The books I am patterning my work on don't have in-text citation, but the last book in the series was published around 2003 or so. Does anyone advise me to follow those books, or is there another method of citing non-fiction (my book is a history how-to).

Does you publisher have a style guide? There are a lot of options when it comes to citation methods.

I just flipped through the books in the line I'm targeting so I am going to stick with that.

Thanks
