So, here's a thread you can interact with regularly (i.e., update as necessary). Post here the screen names of people from the forum you've met in real-life. Perhaps we can do some six degrees of separation stuff when done. I'll start (not that any of these folks would be willing to admit to knowing me ... ;) ):

JennaGlatzer
PattiTheWicked
Saritams8
Nerdsrus
Perks

My next trip is to Anchorage, Alaska. Anyone up thar? ;)

Joanne (Jdkiggins)
kristie911
Maryn
Elincoln (Elaine)
sassandgroove
Shwebb (Shelley)

I believe blacbird (http://absolutewrite.com/forums/member.php?u=1151) resides in that area.

Cool idea for a thread, by the way. :)

Just tell me when I can drive over or host here. I'm ready.

I've met:

and another lady from AW at the Atlanta Writers Conference, but I've taken another pill and can't remember her name. Siddow introduced us. I think it has an 'R' in it...

Ah! Satori. I knew there was an 'r' in there somewhere.

I've tried to meet Alley Cat like 20 times, but he avoids me. I've even met (face to face) a business associate he put me in contact with via the 'net, but still have not met the cat himself. He's scared of me. But I don't know why.

I met some really cool AWers at Nasfic just outside St. Louis (http://www.absolutewrite.com/forums/showthread.php?t=67146). It was a ton o' fun. Pictures start somewhere around page 12 I believe.

I had a great time in all my geeky goodness, though my husband not so much. I was also probably entirely too quiet, but everyone else was having such interesting conversations.

Also met Kit and Kthrok.

And I met Kida Adelyne (who's in university and doesn't post much any more) on a very hot July day twenty-plus years ago. The doctor handed me this bundle and said, "It's a girl!" :D

Talked to Dawno and Charlie over the phone. My son's met Charlie, but I haven't. :( I so want to go back to Banff...

Hopefully I'll be able to meet a few more of you this year. For example, there's absolutely no reason except laziness to excuse me from not meeting up with KTC, Toothpaste, Chumplet and a few others in my area. Toronto area gathering, anyone?

ETA Darzian, who will (hopefully) be coming to Canada. Positive vibes, folks. Let's get that boy out of Sri Lanka.

And I. Am. Going. To. New. York. (http://www.playbill.com/news/article/120677.html) In November or early December, 2009. Anyone who offers a place to crash gets a free ticket, if I can afford one. :D

-Second Saturday of every month but August
-8:30am - 11:00am
-JP Fitzpatrick & Son Restaurant (Right beside the AMC24--you can see it from the 401) in Whitby, Ontario. (75 Consumers Road)--about 15-20 minutes from downtown Toronto.
-$15 for members and $20 for guests
-mini-workshops are held after each meeting $10.00
-Each meeting has a guest speaker discussing some aspect of writing/editing/publishing ( illiterate, willietheshakes and toothpaste have all been guest speakers).

I will let you know if I am attending the February brekkie.
