Visited your journal Glory. Backed away from the complications of responding there, but... re: writing for literary craft or money - can you do both at the same time? My opinion is no you can't. Not when "editors" dictate the terms of appeal to a specific market. Self-publishing will free the literary genius, but also bring on the Herculean task of self-marketing.

I don't suppose that I see working within parameters as crippling to self-expression. And there is always the strong possibilty that what you want to write will overlap with the interests of one of the publishers, especially one of the smaller more adventurous presses. I certainly found that to be the case.
