1. How do you say "Who said that?" or "Who's there?"

2. What are some of names (in English) of French regional accents that would be considered endearing or charming in a quaint sort of way?

"Who said that?" translates literally as "Qui l'a dit?"

"Who's there?" is "Qui est là?"

According to my French co-workers the accents of southern France such as Provence are the best fit. The accent reminds them of sunshine and holidays

When wondering who's creeping about, folks often actually call out "Hello?" almost as though answering a telephone. En francais, it sounds like "ahh lo?" spelled hallo.

True, horseshoes, though it's actually spelled "Allo" with an accent circonflexe over the "o." (I really need to figure out how to do accents in hmtl!)
