Buddy lists?

I understand the "ignore" (and have made use of it

), but I'm confused about buddy lists. I can't figure out how to tell if people on that list are online, other than looking up their profiles or looking at "Who's Online." Am I missing something?

(I also use MSN, so that kinda gives me a clue when certain people are online)

If you look at the bottom of the Cooler, you'll see everyone who's online. A buddy has a + sign next to them.

Under "Quick Links" about three down, there's something that says "Open Buddy List" That shows you who from your buddy list is online.

I use it to pick out my favorite peeps on the list of online users. Catches my eye faster.

I keep the peeps I interact with on a regular basis in my buddy list. Lets me quickly find out if they're online.
