Best short story (max 30 pages double spaced) relating to the Mississippi River, the Mississippi River Valley, or sister River (do I hear the Missouri or Yellowstone or Red or ...?) Prize is $500 and publication in Big Muddy.

Also, Wilda Hearne Flash Fiction contest, 500 words max, prize $200, deadline 9/1/2008.
