I've been thinking about that question myself lately. I have worked with several AWers on different projects; from freelancing, to poetry, to writing collaborations, to musical collaboration, to reaching out, to meeting AWers in person, to getting speaker gigs for AWers, to lining up freelancing, to just about everything writer related. I've taken part in auctions. I have photography on my wall from an AWer who lives across the ocean. I enjoyed jam from an American AWer. I've critiqued AWers and I have been critiqued by AWers. I can probably go on until I bore you to tears...
But I won't.
This place has made me a better writer. A better poet. A better person. I think the key is to get involved in every level. There are such amazing writing forums here, but there are also social forums where the writers get to know one another, get to find other writers they click with. It's amazing to me how many doors have been opened to me through AW. I am grateful for this community.
What has AW done for you?
