Conway and Korman have made me laugh so hard it hurt and tears rolled down my cheeks. I loved that harvey couldn't keep a straight face. His laughter made me laugh. Every time.

Some of my favorite tv memories are of the carol burnett show due in large part to those two being absolutely hysterical together.

I'm going with Harvey and Tim. Not because he just died... because I always loved the two of them together. Harvey's laughter was part of the sheer comic genius of the pair. Sigh.

Your problem here is your US-Centrism. There have been funny men elsewhere you know.

From the UK we would have a list that also includes Morecambe and Wise, The Two Ronnies, Flannagan and Allan, Fry and Laurie etc

I haven't seen a lot of comedy duos... but I do remember watching Martin & Lewis movies as a kid with my grandmother, so that's where my vote falls.

Plus Dean Martin was possibly the coolest cat of the 20th century...

Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz definitely. You just can't get any better than I Love Lucy as far as classic comedy goes.

From the names that I recognise from that list, I should also point out that there have been comedy duos Since 1979.

Morecambe and Wise, no contest.

And I'd say that many on rob's list are internationally known whereas I've never heard of any on your list.

A dark, evil place.
Stan Laurel was English, of course, and a freaking genius. There are way too many good choices on your list, Rob. I had to vote for the Smothers Brothers, though, because mom always liked you best.

For some reason, the Smothers Brothers slipped my mind. Yeah, they probably gave me more laughs than any other comedy team.

Desi Arnaz was Cuban and nearly arrested for accusations of being a communist. Clearly U.S.-centric, all-American comedy duo :D

I chose Martin and Lewis for film, the live Colgate Comedy hour and the time I cut school in 1949 to see them live.

But Abbot and Costello deserve immortality for WHO'S ON FIRST and the ten dollars for five routines.

Korman and Conway for gut busters too over a long span.

Too many choices, so much talent.

I picked Korman and Conway but had strong leanings toward Wilder and Pryor.

Both duos had classic chemistry.

Once you've heard the truth, everything else is ju
Abbott and Costello, hands down. They were so brilliant that Warner Brothers changed them into cats and made a classic cartoon starring the two (A Tale of Two Kitties). Wonderfully funny stuff.
