View Full Version : Describe your writing style in one word.

KikiteNeko
05-27-2008, 11:40 PM
Think of everything you've written, everything you are writing presently, and everything you aspire to write. If reviewers and critics were to write a blurb for the back of your novel, or in a New York Times review, or whatever it is you dream of, what is the one word you would like your writing to be described as? One word only--no phrases. If you want to, explain why.

Well, what I'd like to hear is different from what I actually hear. Which is (usually) "flowing".

I guess that's pretty nice, too, actually. :)

Because I'm for the establishment of the reign of the Elder Gods on Earth. Actually, the re-establishment. So my word would be:

I'd say poetic, but those that have read my writing - especially my English teacher this year - tend to say that my style is more witty than anything else. Although I can't see how a 15 page research paper on Kerouac can be witty...

I don't have anything that I wrote when I was a teenager, but it was dark, really dark. Now days I tend to be more light hearted and hopeful. A good laugh does the soul good.
