And so the opinions start rolling in. I was a little afraid because of the uber-secrecy. If they don't allow any advanced screenings, that's generally not good news.
You know, neither Lucas nor Spielberg has ever liked having advanced screenings. I think they often give in because they have to. But this time, they didn't have to. I find it refreshing. It doesn't trouble me much.

My son can't wait to see it--he's counting down the days.

I hope it's wonderful. I'm a big Indy fan. What I need to do now is get the DVDs and let my kids watch the first three before we see this one.

I'll be seeing it either way. I just want it to be good.

I hope it's a good one. One the other hand, back then they were all in the 40s -- young and fresh-faced and adventurous. Now they're all AARP members ready for assisted living -- can they still be goofy and fresh about this? I guess I'll have to wait and see. Still, hearing that theme already gives me goosebumps, so it can't be too bad.

We're talking about George Lucas here. Three words: Jar Jar Binks.

I have heard of reviews that compare it to the fake new star wars films.

The comparisons leap out, but they couldn't do that. ... not to Indy ... surely!

I will be heading out to see it.

I mean, if folks could sit through how many Rocky movies?.....

I hope it is still slap stick fun.

Who cares about Indy? I'm going to see it multiple times just to drool at the villain. :D

I'm waiting until Saturday to see this one.

Speaking of reviews, Roger Ebert gave this movie 3 1/2 stars. :)

I'm going to the 12:15 show tomorrow. Not because I'm *dying* to see it, but because i need a break and it seemed as good a movie as any to go to. Two hours of (i hope) mindless fun and shia lebeouf. Good enough for me.

I wanted to see it last night but no one was available to go with me -- I didn't want to see that alone. I may be seeing it tonight or tomorrow.

You should have called me! I mean, I never would have made it there in time but we could have gone to our respective theaters and just talked to each other on our cell phones the whole time. "Ohhhh, don't go in there, Indy! Oh Ray, Indy's goin' in there!"

Am heading out in about 4 hours to see it today. I don't care how cheesy/lame/dumb, or, any which way but loose it might be... I plan on having a good time with it.

I think the Indy movies have become like an Icon, at least for me. Will have a big bag of popcorn, (you could guess that, huh?) and a soda and sit back and enjoy it.

Laterssssssssssssssssssss
