Mornin' guys (and gals):
Got a question. I'm working on a short story called, "Grandma Helga's Viper." It's about a 10 year old boy and his wacky grandma, who rolls up to his house one day in a snazzy red Dodge Viper.
Story is in the beginning stages. When writing for young children (what, about age 8?), what is the rule of thumb about internal conflict and your character resolving that?
Seems to me the emphasis should be on the story, but I really don't know because I've never written anything for this age group before, and never written a short story before.
I appreciate any and all answers!
Thanks,
Katiebug
