I know this world moves slow. But pub said, he'd be in touch soon...

"Kimmi, I'll be in touch soon."

He emailed me this one sentence April 7. How do you gauge soon? And when does soon become infinite in their world? When to just chalk it up as a no?

Not sure kimmi. Is that anything like 'let's do lunch' ?

Sorry I could not give you any insight. ((((((HUGS)))))

I hope it's not the same as "the cheque is in the mail" cuz that's just bad. I hope soon means this afternoon at precisely 3:42. All the best kimmi!

Good luck, Kimmi. I can't give you a time, but I've seen other posts that suggest after one month, you e-mail for a status update, and continue to do so each month until you get an answer.

April 7. May 11.

I'd say it's probably buried.

And maybe thank God for unaswered prayers. :D

Soon is pretty much the moment after now, for me. :) That is all I use, everytime I see someone, as that is pretty much already taking place. (If that makes any sense) lol

Sounds like the same as "The doctor will be with you in a few minutes."

"Kimmi, I'll be in touch soon."

In the math world, they use a special symbol to represent "soon" as it is meant in the publishing world.

Is this anything like real soon now in the sf fanzine world?
