I only recently stumbled over You Tube—okay, so I'm slow! For a couple of weeks now I've been exploring this amazing website. Just this morning I entered "fiction writers" in the search box. The very first item that caught my attention is a 3-part lecture by novelist Barbara Kyle (http://www.barbarakyle.com/home.html) on story structure. I think it's worth a gander.

It starts here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9xBZkk1dkHg).

I might also add that one book she references, The art of dramatic writing (http://www.amazon.com/Art-Dramatic-Writing-Creative-Interpretation/dp/0671213326) by Lajos Egri, just may be the best book on the craft of writing ever written—and authors with far more 'street cred' than me think so.

I can't wait to discover what other treasures You Tube offers. In the mean time, I'm memorizing Egri's book.

(This video is also an example of terrific marketing, eh?)

Happy typing.
