I have a question about Booklist. I hope this is the appropriate forum.
Recently I got a call from a man at Booklist (ALA magazine) who informed me that one of my author's books was to be reviewed in an upcoming issue of the magazine. He wanted to sell my small company an ad in Booklist that would run near the review. I had to pass on the advertisement due to cost, but, of course, looked forward to the review. However, when I searched the Booklist issue for the review, there was none.
I assumed that Booklist was a pretty straight forward publication, but now I am wondering whether there was a mirepresentation just to sell ads.
Has anybody else on this forum had an issue with Booklist?
