1. Start your word processor.

2. Disable the custom dictionary and use standard English dictionary for your country.

3. Type your full formal name.

4. Replace any name that triggers a spell-check with the first suggested word.

Allow me to introduce myself:

Joseph William Equalities

My married name, unfortunately, isn't the stuff that spell checkers have fun with. But if you use my maiden name... Ah! Now that's more like it.

I'm Ruth Queerer. :D

My first and last name are the same, but apparantly my middle name is Zoo.

The Writer app in OpenOffice 2.3 says:

(no suggestions)

And it doesn't help that my middle name is the same as the last name of both a former President and a current (well, not really sure at the moment, haven't checked the Results thread...) Presidential candidate.

And a town in NY... or someplace in New England. It OUGHT to know it, you would think.

Also, I lied earlier, it seems. While Word seems to know me, OpenOffice did not. My last name is apparently something grifters do to their marks. :D

I'm choosing the second suggestion because it is more appropriate. Mine is Richard Boozes.

How does one go about disabling the custom dictionary in MS Word 2003?

Apparently I'm Miss Susie McWhitebread, because I can't get a name change without a judge's order.
