The Stunt Man (fantastic look at movie making and Peter O'Toole was the bomb)
Big Fat Liar (Paul Giamatti was great)


I wanted to like Hollywoodland and For Your Consideration but both fell really short.

Bombshell, a totally underrated Jean Harlow classic.

I saw the thread title and immediately thought Swimming With Sharks. Brilliant film. Also Hurly Burly.

Although Last Action Hero has a cheesy piss take charm.

The Player, and a small film highlighting the eternal optimism of the screenwriter, forgot the title, maybe it was mentioned above, with Wuhl, Landau and Eli Wallach.

TOTALLY AGREE!

I also loved "State and Main"-- it was an all-star cast. I think it was generally overlooked? I didn't even know about it until TBS played it one afternoon.
