Seems like it to me:
1) There are a lot of posts from people who know how to do it better than I do.
2) Hearing about how they do it makes me think I am not doing it right.
3) It is easier to read these conversations than to actually do it myself.
4) I think much of the praise in the SYW section is like an insincere pornstar's screaming "Yes, Yes! Oh G-d yes!"
5) I want give my writing to every woman I know, but instead I am hanging out on this site.
7) Other people's novels are longer, and more in demand.
