I did read about 270 pages in preparation for a heavy duty beta I'm going to do. Good story too. Great story, actually. If I hadn't gotten caught up in it I might have written something of my own.

Major rejection today. Very nice personal 142-day rejection of my dark SF/horror story Nidus (some of you guys helped me edit it in SYW, so thanks). The good news is that the editors at Abyss and Apex liked it enough to hold onto it for that long, but I gotta tell ya: this is the hardest rejection I've had to deal with. Thought I had a sale. I made some minor edits and sent it back out, but I felt like burning the damn thing.

I'm taking a break for a while. Have fun you guys!

Chew a finger or two off if you want to T, but don't take too long of a break. We've all been there. My favorites were the 111 day rejection and the 157 day rejection. Then again, I've still got that 262 day pending going on.

I've been in a serious slump since NaNo, and just recently got back on the horse. Got 1000k on a new piece yesterday, and posted the first 760 or so for crit, too. Haven't done that in a good long time.

Goal this week is to add another 1000k.
