Hi everyone!

I've been lurking on and off around here for a few months and now I've finally registered. I'm hoping I can find my way around the site, so I don't post things in the wrong areas; is there a place for me to ask basic publishing questions, or should I just go to the novel writing forum?

Anyway, this seems like a really great site, and I'm looking forward to posting here rather than lurking!

Welcome to the water cooler. If you can't find the specific section for the topic you want to ask about, just go to the bottom of the page and type in the subject and click on the "www(dot)absolutewriter(dot)com" option.

Well, darned if we don't have the friendliest welcoming committee around. And many of them are recent arrivals -- marvelous show!

Welcome, Yuallica -- if your question is more general, and the Novels forum doesn't seem to be the place, try:
1) the forums in The Book World (near the bottom of the page);
2) For All Writers: The AW Round Table;
3) asking a moderator familiar with that area. (Not really me, I'm afraid.)

Or, of course, you can post in a likely-looking spot, and you'll draw out a good suggestion, I'm sure.

But please -- do get your questions out here, and we'll do our best to guide you to the answers.

Nevermind about the question, I found the answer in a couple of threads here already anyway :) And the answers to a couple of questions I'd forgotten I wanted to ask :D
