I came across this. I have to admit, it's a little shady.

The author was giving away a Kindle Fire and signed copies of his book. How do you enter? Simple, you give his new novel an Amazon Review.

I'd say its more than a little shady. Despite the authors good intentions he is in reality buying reviews. Two of the five star reviews admit they are "looking forward to reading the book" and "hope I win the contest."
