Hey guys!

I'm new here - duh - and a published author recommended I try out this site for some feedback. I've written a YA fantasy that needs reworking and am currently querying for a YA horror/paranormal. I have no support system elsewhere, so I'm really looking forward to getting some input from all of you and returning the favor. I have a lifelong love of reading and began writing my first book about 3 years ago while waiting at my son's soccer practices, basketball practices, etc... you get the picture. Have had only rejection letters so far, but determined to keep trying!

Hello tpolen! Everybody goes through rejections, it's just part of the badge of honor you wear as a writer (says the woman who's still getting those dreaded rejections herself...must not give up...must not give up!).

Whenever you get frustrated with the process just do this several times:

After the headache comes, you'll forget all about those pesky reject letters...

Welcome. I think we all understand how it can feel to get those rejections. We offer a lot of support here to help you through those tough times.

Hey there, fellow Southerner! Welcome! You're going to love it here.

Might I suggest you try out some of the game sections as a great way to build your post count and get to know some of the crazies. It also serves the purpose of refreshing your mind and keeping you writing when you're not writing, so to speak.

Other than that, stretch you legs and grab hold. It's a big site, but that's just more room to find your spot.
