Success with Amazon Kindle

Hi, I was just wondering, do series titles generally have more success, so to speak, with Amazon KDP over singular titles? I'm wondering about that since I currently have my first crime/noir-thriller on there, but I intend to keep putting the series up until its complete. I'm just wondering since I haven't put the second book up yet. I know that regardless, the sales depend on reviews and a few other things, but I was just wondering if there's a difference between the two categories.

I had gathered as much, but I figured I'd ask. Thanks. That just gives me motivation get book two finished (I hate writer's block, especially when it comes down to a stupid health problem!)
