The subforum dedicated to it.
And the organization itself. You are kinda late for it, but you can always do it yourself next month.

The prize is the 50,000 words you write. And the opportunity to make faces at anyone who doesn't achieve it. (Except me, if I don't.)

There's no point in using a pre-written book because the biggest prize is the manuscript you write during the month. There's a winner's certificate to print out and some stuff from the sponsors if you validate, but no one reads it and it isn't judged by the quality.

The point for NaNoWriMo is you start to write a 50,000 word novel on November 1 (some have started even later and succeeded). You can't just sign up, dump a 50,000 word manuscript you've already written over the last three years into the validator and declare yourself a winner, though many people surely do that. It's to help you learn the discipline necessary to write a first draft, from start to finish, with hard and fast goals in place (50,000 words in 30 days).
