AndrewS is on a distinguished road
Journalist-author

Greeting fellow writers!
Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm a journalist-foreign correspondent with 27 years experience and a first-time novelist (it's a quirky book about an al-Qaida attempt to blow up a social networking site's data center in rural America). I have sent queries to 24 literary agents over the past six months. No bites yet. I read somewhere that 100 agents are typically queried before someone gets a hit. So I'm keeping at that task while embarking on my second novel.
Regards,
Andrew

Welcome. Good luck with the querying. I tried it once and know how soul-crushing it can be.
