Some days I wish I didn't need a day job.

Or at least to have fun stories from work.

Instead all I have is that pregnant coworker mentioned her husband wants to move back to her home country. Then she said, "But I told him we have to wait until I have the baby."

Sometimes she forgets that while I'm not her boss, I am one of the bosses. She's hinted several times about wanting to move back home, but this is the first time she's actually said it more directly.

That sounds like a slightly more subtle way of saying she'll take the post-delivery pay and then come back for two weeks before giving notice.

Which is totally common and I don't mind that so much. It's just that she's said the complete opposite to her boss. I'd just prefer if she was either stealthy about it or direct about it. Pick one.

In better news, just found out I was a finalist in the adult fiction category of the Independent Book Blogger Awards over at Goodreads. I didn't win, but fourth feels pretty awesome.

I've had a good day so far. Got lots of cleaning done, had an actual nap in my bed and... I WROTE WORDS!!! 679 so far. And they are story words, instead of like blogging or journaling words.

I'm starting to feel like my prepregnancy self again and it's great.
