Still no word from the agency that has my full and one R on my vampire novel.

I am not too disappointed,though.

Good luck,y'all and sorry about the R's.

After reading your blog, I'm in agreement 100%. That's nuts. A fledgling market of all places shouldn't treat their writers like that. I hope your story finds a better home.

Oh well, there's always more stories and more markets.
Have you heard of this new market? It looks perfect for you! And it's affiliated with Black Static/Interzone, which is a very good thing.

Which market are you referring to? If there was a link or a name, I missed it. I see Crimewave on the TTA site (publishers of Black Static) but IIRC it's not new.

Sorry for the late response--I just noticed this today.

Thanks for the market suggestion; they seem like a nice place.

I'll be sending out once they're open.

Hi Dee, hi Shadow. Welcome to the pit.

Picked up a 2-day from ASIM. Fastest they've ever let mine down, which is nice. Better 2-day form than 21-day form.

Welcome Dee, and Shadow. Welcome to Rejectomancy!

I'm a little over the average rejection time of One Buck Horror, now, and my submission with The Colored Lens has lasted longer than a day.

Other than that, crickets.

Welcome fellow new rejectioneers!

After a heavy R flood at the beginning of the month, it's all dried into crickets. Don't know what I prefer.

Welcome Dee and Shadow!

Crickets...trying not to get my hopes up about my sub out at Apex. Mine has been out longer than many of the responses currently on duotrope, but attempting to read the tea leaves has never been very successful before, so....I'll just focus myself on writing something new!

Not that it matters, but I don't think they're affiliated with Interzone/Black Static, except in that the editor has had stuff published in those magazines in the past, and TTAPress gave them a shoutout.

Yeah, that's what I meant by "affiliated." I should've been more clear. I just see the TTA guys as being pretty familial.

0-day personal rejection from The Colored Lens.

Basically, they said they liked the concept of creating life, and my crazy scientist was believable, but they didn't like my overuse of dialog and lacking use of action. It didn't "engage" them.
