Talking Self Editing New Novel

Just finished editing Chapter 10 of my new medical thriller – “The True Virus”. I’m half way through polishing off this fantastic fictional book about terrorist using a computer to produce a live virulent virus. Just like Michael Chrichton’s Jurassic Park, the scientific hypotheses presented in my novels are possible. As a scientist, I use my knowledge to make my books believable. My novel, Green Power, is a good example. See blogs below:
Environmental thriller novel, Green Power, http://envirothriller.blogspot.com has received good reviews http://grnpwrev.blogspot.com .

My first novel, Green Power, had good reviews on the plot and characters, but I received comments that it needed editing. The publisher I went with didn’t edit it. So this time I decided to do more editing myself. My daughter-in-law is an English professor and always told me “show don’t tell”. As a scientist, I have a tendency to tell instead of showing. Therefore, I purchased the book, “Self Editing for Fiction Writers”, by Renni Browne and Dave King. So I’m doing the best I can and hope to get an agent or publisher who will accept my book and help with any refinement necessary to make it a successful thriller novel.
