Railroad Pioneer - Freezing problems

I have recently been playing Railroad Pioneer and enjoying it a good deal. However, having reached the Utah mission I am beset with the game freezing on me. Apparently others have also had this problem. Does anyone know of a patch to sort this out?

Somehow this seems to have fixed itself. We recently re-formated the computer and now it works fine.
