Now, my question to you guys who've been through this, how do I interpret this?

Exactly as it reads. The first read was positive, and they want to know more about how it stands as a property. They have not decided to publish it.

I hate being the jerk (yes, really), but... posting a private email from your agent on a public board might not be the best choice. Not only is it a violation of the agent's privacy, but if you want interpretation, the agent seems like the person to ask.

I agree. You should just ask your agent directly what it means. Your agent works with you. You should have a good enough relationship with her to ask any questions with regard to your work. If you don't understand something, ask her.

Thanks Maestro. Subsequent development today has Brava, an imprint of Kensington, offering me a 3-book deal. My agent called me this afternoon at work and if it wasn't for an aggravating report that refuses to be reconciled bogging me down, I would be whooping it up right now. :)

Oooo, that's great news! From what I hear, the Bravas are really selling well! I know several folks who write for them, and they speak very highly of the editor they're working with at Kensingon.

Good luck, I hope it all works out and you get to do it, and WHOOP IT UP! Let us know what happens!
