Hi everyone.

I'm not good at introductions and I spend most of my time in the sidelines just sort of watching and waiting in the background.

I just realised how stalkerish that sounded.

I don't stalk people.

Well, I didn't threaten to stalk a friend once, but that's only because she allowed someone to steal my money and then refused to tell me who it was. But I guess stalking her would be inhumane. I might just play on her fear of cows, strap her to the back of cow and tip it over.

Another reason why I don't introduce myself. I say things like i'm going to strap a friend of mine to the back of a cow then tip it over. Poor cow. It shouldn't have to suffer.

Anyway, I'm mostly a young adult writer and I have finally, FINALLY finished my first young adult fanstasy novel. I say finally because i've had this idea since I was twelve, started writing it when I was fifiteen, got sidetracked by the fact that just recently discovered a love for screenwriting and wrote two screenplays, then continued writing it. Got hit hard with the economic situation and decided to spend my time finishing my first novel and polishing my scripts before finally returning to my education. Don't worry, I'm not a one time writer. I plan on doing it for a very long time.

Btw I'm twenty and I still feel weird when I watch a movie that's anything above 16. I keep thinking my mum's about to peek around the corner. Isn't it great how parents still manage still make you feel guilty even when you're past the PG stages?

I'll stop talking now. I need to browse the message boards, see if i can get a beta reader, read up on some advice, see if I can help in anyway.

Bye

Greetings and welcome to the watercooler :welcome:

Take a wander around the various forums, there's lots to see and lots to learn, and even some fun threads too. Come along and pop on over to the Newbie Pub (at the top of the Newbie forum) and say hi, there's plenty of friendly faces that you can chat with and lots of banter. There's also the Question of the Day threads at the top of the Newbie forum where you can answer random questions.

Don't forget to read the newbie guide, and if you want to know what all the buttons mean check out this thread.

Welcome to AW. Hope you enjoy your stay with us.
How do you like your popcorn?

If you go to the bottom of the page to the ‘forum jump’ you can scroll down and find all the areas of this place. Most of the SYW areas require the password of ….vista. A word to the wise, (50 posts), it would be a good idea to participate first in helping others before you think about posting your own work. After you have been around here for awhile, then post something of your own for help. Good luck.

Hey, hey

I spend a lot of time watching from the side lines, as you can tell by the number of posts I’ve made in over a year.

There’s some pretty good writers on this forum who are definitely worth stalking following.

Have fun
