It's a vampire novel. Hopefully book one of a series.

(They do not sparkle and they do have fangs )

I had a request for a partial and haven't heard anything back yet. Fingers crossed.

All right how many of us that subbed, put up vampire novels? I've been looking at profiles here, and there's mine, David McAfee's, Callalily's, Norligh's, Carmilla's... anybody else?

Nope. My YA is about Angels. Hmm, maybe he's looking at the other end of the spectrum, or I'm just outta luck?!!!

I was in the middle of revising the first chapter when I got the request. I didn't submit until St. Paddy's day, which was four days after. I guess I'll be hearing a few days. I'll keep you guys posted.

Okay, so I've been lurking...I sent a query to Jason on 12 March, and I got his request for the first 50 on Friday the 13th (lucky me!)...no response yet. Not a vampire story, though, and definitely not YA.

Keeping my fingers crossed.

Mine's a YA thriller. Queried on 3/13, exchanged emails on the subject matter on 3/16, partial request on 3/18.

Not a vamp in sight.

Just to update:

Rejectified.

He put it nicely enough though, and I know he read the entire partial request, because he referenced passages from the latter part of my submission.

Ah well. Time to get back to work on my WIP.

I'm joining the club. Queried last night, partial request this morning (15 pages only). It's adult urban fantasy, but no vampires grace its pages.

Just got my R. It was a graphic novel with no art, just a script. He advised me that it'll be an easier sale if I can get some art together.

Also rejectified on my vampire novel. But I must say, after requesting my first pages and reviewing them, he gave me a genuine response and he complimented my style. This took only two days. This is the first non-form rejection with any type of feedback I've received. He seems like he would be a great agent to work with.

Yeah, he was real nice in my rejection, too. Very personal. Much better than getting a form rejection.

Well, I got my R just a few minutes ago. I wouldn't exactly consider it a personal rejection...mentioned my style being good.

Fabulous! Off to drown myself in chocolate or something like that!!!

Reject for me too.
