I can even prepare the vellum. Half uncial is my best hand, but I can do a fair Bastarda . . .
Neat! I know theoretically how to prepare parchment, but I lack the tools and the dead sheep. I do have some vellum in my studio. I simmered some of the scraps to make sheepskin glue for painting and adhesion.
I do mostly classic gothic, which when I get rolling is as hypnotic to write as it is to read. Although now I think about it, I do like half-uncial. I'm not familiar with Bastarda, unless it's like rustic Roman.
And sometime I just write what feels right with the pen. I have a sack of goose quills I cut into nibs. (You would already know, but for everybody else's benefit -- you
slice the feathery bits off the quill, so it never has that ridiculous ostrich plume effect ever.)
