There's also some serious lacking of girl heroes for younger ages. Remember the Powderpuff Girls, for example? I know little sister would adore that but they don't show it anymore.

Oh well, we both have Adventure Time.

I r a Horse Owner :)

And my new horse refused to get in the trailer. He wasn't afraid or nervous or whatever. He just said no, not gonna. Then he finally got on and was parked; not trying to back off. So away we went and twice he kicked the snot outta my trailer and I wondered if he'd kill or scalp himself or scalp and kill himself. But he was good for the last few miles and unloadd calmly.

And then he saw new horses and had a panic attack and trembled in his hooves.

Weirdo.

Pics coming. We had a quite ride after I got him settled and lunged the snot out of him. Hes out of shape so it wasnt hard.

Go Kricket.

I am actually just finishing lunch so I have been listening to Stephen King - I managed all of my lunch this time.

I have got to a point in my SFF challange where it's just a heap of a tangled mess. I know it won't sort itself out if I dn't go work on it, but right now this minute I am doing my best avoidance technique.

Awww. You can always post the opening.

Off to drop off recycling and get some grocery items. With all three kids in tow.

Wish me luck!!

Luck and dragons!

Drive-by Pie! I need me some of that.

*shells you with pies*

:gaah

I just had an AtCT idea in the middle of writing my SFF challenge.

I am overloaded with jokes and now I don't know which one to write first.

Oh, and does anyone know a treatment for ticks? (Just research, I promise )

Oooo, AtCT ftw.

And turn the counter clockwise. No joke.

:D Weel, my apologies in advance, then. Years ago, our vet showed me how to remove ticks by . . . tickling them. Not. kidding. here. That's what he called it. Use your index finger to gently rotate the tick in a circle very fast. It'll back out. THEN, you set fire to the sucker! Works like a charm, every time.

This is way more sophisticated than my way :)

Are those reasonable excuses?

Um... Good enough. This time. :tongue

I was going to say Wonder Woman, but... No. Just no. (C'mon, we REALLY need a vomiting smiley) Did Gwen do anything in Ben 10 after the turgid live-action movie, or did the reset button get slammed as hard as possible? Um... Crap. I'm all out - there must be more characters (ones which don't make me groan in pained agony, and yeah - Batwoman certainly goes in the "Not cool, DC, so not cool." category).

I think I've run out of Les Misérables stuff to listen to, since I'm now listening to the original French version of the musical.

Honestly, "Master of the House" just isn't the same in French. Sounds too charming and civilised.

Okay. Black Caviar = horse that's won 22 of it's last 22 races.

Ascot = massive horse race

The horse is australian, and owned by an australian.

Aussie aussie aussie, oi oi oi is the war cry we shout at all sporting events.

Does that help?

The girl from Kentucky understood the reference. Even if y'all do run your horse races the wrong way around. :D

Yes but you have THE derby and stuff. Here we just have quasi cowboys with unintelligible North Dakota accents.

And moose.

would you believe I've lived here all my life, and have never actually attended the Derby? Most of the people I know are quite firm about avoiding Louisville during Derby week: all the nuts come out of the woodwork that week, and want to work on their DUI skills.

I think I have stopped writing my WIP novel due to not be sure how to portray the many, many political factions of a Dieselpunk country.

Oh yes, Fenika, I have a female dog now. Her name is Cloud, she's a toy poodle.

I'd believe it!

Please tell me you own at least 1 of the crazy big hats women wear to those things, though. :D

No, I look goofy in a broad brimmed hat. HOWEVER, if it's any consolation, I have a very elegant pillbox style with a veil. I love veiled hats.
