Hello everyone. I am so excited to discover this writing community site. As a child, I often fantasized about writing my own stories, but never took it too seriously. As an adult, I am now strongly considering it and have started a rough draft. I am by no means a professional writer, but I am hopeful that I will create a great story to be published. I look forward to interacting and learning from all of you. I have so many questions on how to get the ball rolling.

Greetings and welcome to the watercooler :welcome:

Take a wander around the various forums, there's lots to see and lots to learn, and even some fun threads too. Come along and pop on over to the Newbie Pub (at the top of the Newbie forum) and say hi, there's plenty of friendly faces that you can chat with and lots of banter. There's also the Question of the Week thread at the top of the Newbie forum where you can answer random questions.

Don't forget to read the newbie guide, and if you want to know what all the buttons mean check out this thread.

Welcome, welcome. Write, and write, and you'll get there. Don't be afraid of critique, BTW. This place might seem cold at first, but it will be warmer once you post.

Take some time and read the Newbie Guide and the Stickies found
at the top of Forum pages. They are your best guide to learning about

Don’t forget to read the FAQ regarding posting pictures at AW.

In fact, we have lots of brilliant FAQs check them out.

Steph. I would suggest that you keep an eye on the ball because now that you have come here, you have already started it rolling. Keep an eye (but not a close eye) on it and be wary of getting hypnotized by the revolutions it takes as you roll along.

welcome.
Good luck with your writing. The best way to get started is to set aside a regular time, whether it is daily or weekly or whatever. Good luck.

Hello and welcome! What types of stories do you like to write?

Romance of course. Just your typical girl here. What do you like to write? Have you had any published?

The multi-quote button (to the right of each post) is very handy. If you click on it (it's the one with the "+ ), it turns red to show it's been highlighted. Then click on as many of the posts that you want to quote and then hit 'Post Reply' which is at the top and bottom of the page, and you can quote and reply to all those people in one post. Magic.

I love romance, but I have little skill in it. I'm working on my first Sci-fi novel. Nothing published yet, but I'm hoping to have something published by college. Right now, I'm just an typical sixteen and a half year old girl. :D
