I hate being new, clueless, and lost. Reminds me of the first day of school, or the first day on a new job. But, like those days, this too will pass and I'll find my way around and hopefully make some new friends, learn a bunch of helpful tidbits, and generally have a good time.

Just poke around and read some faq's. It doesn't take long to get your whereabouts here and people are always willing to help. No one's going to pants you or hook you to the flag pole. Well, they probably won't at first anyway. Welcome!

Take some time and read the Newbie Guide and the Stickies found

In fact we have lots of brilliant FAQs check them out.

Hi Lynda!

I'm new here too, and there's plenty of information that can help you in staying "active" online from people who've been here longer, but my biggest piece of advice would be to force yourself to post something once or twice a day. Don't get me wrong: I'm not suggesting filler or spam, but jumping in as a contributor immediately makes you care more, and therefore check the forums often.

Just something I've picked up--hope it helps! :)

Welcome. There's nothing wrong with being new here. We were all new once. You'll get the hang of it pretty quickly.
