As for that information presented: yes, I too suspect that the transition from paper to digital (however partial) is making publishers play various waiting games. Tough times, sure, and every player has to determine his own acceptable level of risk.

Still plenty of players throwing the dice. Just like us writers. ;)

I just got a request from this agency with a five week exclusive request, but my ms is out with two other agencies. Any suggestions as to what should I do?

The email listed on the website for fiction queries, Submission‐[email protected] did not want to work with either of the two email clients I sent the query from. I wonder if my email clients are having trouble with that dash in the middle.
