From their webpage:

"Angry Robot’s Open Door 2012 period is now closed.
Many thanks to everyone who submitted. You’ll be hearing from us soon (if you haven’t, already)."

Soon, huh? That means in the next couple days, right? ;)

Well, they are quick, I can say that much. I received a request for a full two hours ago.

I'd have posted sooner but I'm still bouncing around Cloud 9.

:)

Very nice! Mind if I ask what your one sentence summary was? (If you had one of those, of course.)

I did have one and it was fairly simple, actually:

A warrior dedicated to eradicating magic discovers that it may be the only salvation for his land in the face of an impending war.

Almost cliche now that I think about it but summing up 103,000 words is a frickin' hard.

Hmm. I'm soon going on a vacation where I might not have access to a computer(or rather, the internet). If I'm lucky enough to get a request for a full during that time, but can't send it to them in a week or two, is this bad? Are there some guidelines on how fast you are supposed to respond to this sort of thing? It would make me feel very presumptuous to email them about a delay beforehand, given that it's entirely possible they don't care for my work enough to ask for a full. :)

I wouldn't panic about it, Dreambrewer - publishing moves very slowly. If you delayed sending it in for a month or more, they might notice and become suspicious that your novel wasn't actually finished, but a week or so? It'll pass in an alcoholic blur ;)

(I dare Lee Harris to stop by and refute that...)

Great, I can enjoy my vacation without being stressed out about it. :)

I was already thinking of weird ways to have someone else send it for me and such just in case(yeah, I'm arrogant ;)).

Just draft and save it as-is ready to send. If you get the email request for a full, then all you have to do is hit send on your smartphone.

Haha, did you all rush to your inboxes with fear and hope in your heart?

I remember that feeling well!

Nah, that wouldn't work--remember last year they had a "safeword" that you'd include in the subject?

Congrats, mhughes! Can you remind me, when did you send in your submission?

Submitted it on April 16th, which if I remember right was the first day. Timestamp on the e-mail receipt I got when submitting it was a little after noon.

And to Debeucci and lauralam - yes, there is a safe word. However, there is also no 'Reply by ...' deadline in the e-mail I received. I plan on getting back to them sometime this week. Don't want to rush and screw something up. So if you had to wait a week or two, I doubt there'd be any issues. They've still got a lot they are wading through.

Thanks for stopping in, leebattersby and laura! One week and three days left!

I counted five AW authors in the running so far, any more? :)

I received a confirmatory email of my submission on the 21st of April. It's very nice and professional of them that they confirm that it arrived. I haven't heard anything else yet, but just sort of guessed it would be potentially a couple more months.

When I got home today, I found a request for a full waiting in my mailbox. I sent in the full about five minutes ago.

This is a rather good feeling. :)
