Aloha from Hawaii. I just stumbled on to this site while researching possible agents. Boy, am I glad I found this place. I've already found out enough information to rule out a few agents I was considering. 
I recently attended my third Maui Writers Conference... only this time I actually had my memoir in my grubby little paws. One agent and two editors (one from Viking-Penguin) expressed interest and wanted me to send them my proposal and two chapters. One editor asked me to send her everything I had! Now that I'm back in the real world, I know that I need to do more than just rest on my laurels if I want to see this book in print.
Ignorance is not bliss when it comes to publishing... so I'm glad I found this place. So many knowledgeable people all in one place. How cool is that?
