I've done this with mixed results. First of all, my fingers don't like laptops. They just don't. Yet I've finished some stories while I've watched the Pistons lose, the Red Wings win, and the Tigers go 50/50. We won't talk about the Lions. And I've started some stories with a pen on bev naps. Still, I do most of my editing at the local gin mill. I print out my story, take it and a pen with me and have at it.
Um, I'm back. I got alcohol poisoning on Saturday night, and am still feeling gross but back at work. I got some story ideas but I think I forgot them...
Ben, Ben, Ben. Don't do that anymore.

A little seasoned rice wine vinegar will do nicely. Some homemade rye as well.

Everyone, I just posted my first story to F&SF this morning. It was, of course, "The Light Of An Oncoming Train" after cutting about 250 words. Now comes the hard part - the waiting for rejection.
Tomorrow, "The Interview" goes out, probably to Black Static or Necrotic Tissue.
Your illustriously-silky-furred mistress tigeriness, does that count as production goals?

I almost forgot! I hit and exceeded my goal of 10,900 this morning while I waited for the guy at the muffler shop to fix the exhaust on the truck. Current total is at 11,350.
Will see how far I can get with it my Monday morning.
