Hi. I've just joined this forum - and already found a lot of cool groups to join!

I'm a former Texan, now living in Sheridan, WY - author of a series (Portals) of urban fantasy/detective novels.

I blog on my web site at http://www.authorplblair.com ... and try to not get too far behind ... Also on Facebook & Twitter and some other social sites that I have sadly neglected ...

I'm published by a small company here in Sheridan (Studio See Publishing LLC) - kind of between trad-pubbed and self-pubbed, and I've picked up maybe a little bit of experience that I'm more than happy to share. But I'm also on a steep learning curve, so I may be asking some of you for pointers. I'll try not to make too big a nuisance of myself ...

Anyway, I'm happy to be here, and thanks for accepting me!

Welcome, Plbair.

My dad was born along Crazy Woman Creek near Buffalo, and I still have lots of family in Sheridan. I went to college and taught school in Billings to your north. At that time, I made lots of visits to the VA hospital in Sheridan.

Good luck with your published works and future writing.

Greetings and welcome to the watercooler :welcome:

Take a wander around the various forums, there's lots to see and lots to learn, and even some fun threads too. Come along and pop on over to the Traditional Irish Pub (at the top of the Newbie forum) and say hi, there's plenty of friendly faces that you can chat with and lots of banter. There's also the Question of the Day threads at the top of the Newbie forum where you can answer random questions.

Don't forget to read the newbie guide, and if you want to know what all the buttons mean check out this thread.

Hi from Austin, plblair.

Wyoming. Does that mean we'll have to shout to be heard over the wind?

I grew up mostly in Aurora, Colorado. We skied Jackson Hole, occasionally, but most of Wyoming looks so much like Laramie--which looks like the end of the world--that we tried to avoid it. At least Sheridan is in spitting distance of mountains--Big Horn Nat'l Forest, right?

How's the trout fishing lately?
