I'm sure you're right, AC. I lived there for two years and was surprised anything ever got built! Inefficiency + Corruption = Nothing
By the way, Indonesia has the most number of volcanoes in the world (fact) and probably the most number of islands too, more than 18,000 (useless fact).
Bali has two volcanoes, both active, both spectacular. It's not scary when you know those volcanoes give quite a lot of notice before spewing the kiiler lava but the undersea ones are really scary - no warning. Like the 6.8 one in October which caused a lot of cracks in my home.
We have the largest volcano in the world sitting under Yellowstone.
Don't worry, it only blows every 600,000 years or so. The last time it blew was, uh, 640,000 years ago . . . uh, oh.
