No better than suggesting people who lawfully own and carry guns just wanna shot someone or something.
I don't think I've seen that specific suggestion in this thread, but it's very common to hear it said elsewhere. Most of the time it's subtle, like "Why do you need a gun?" or "What are you going to shoot?" or "What are you so scared of?" But that attitude is almost always present in a discussion of any length about this subject.

I have been busy, I just finished this one. It had to be finished for the 1632 track at Marcon, last week.

It shoots fine. Now it gets a new pecan stock, and sights.

Funny thing, I have had firearms in my house for my entire life, in the Army I had to sleep with my "EBR", that is fifty eight years to date. Not dead yet, I have never met anyone, who later self-terminated with a fire arm.

Lots more snippage, mostly because forum posts almost never change anything.

Enjoy your chosen stance, celebrate the crack in the insanity of "zero tolerance", and have a great day.

Regards,

Kevin

That's great. Unfortunately, 'anecdote' is not the singular form of 'data'.

There's a difference between claiming one's own experience is a negative proof and offering examples for consideration.

I've never met someone from Nepal, but I'm fairly certain they exist...

Funny thing. I've never had a gun in my house and no one has ever killed me.

Equal evidence to support the idea that no one needs a gun for self defense.

I have, however, known three people who killed themselves or attempted suicide with a gun that was kept in their home.

And I had a friend who bypassed the guns in his house and hung himself.

Someone who really intends to end their life will find a way. I don't doubt that some single-digit percentage of single-car crashes are actually suicides.

I've tried hanging myself before. It's a lot more difficult than it looks.

Yeah, and not everyone who attempts suicide really intends to end their life. If they have a gun, they probably won't miss, though.
