Hi there. Some of you may know me from other boards. I'm in that horrible waiting period between querying and waiting to hear back on MS submissions, trying semi-successfully to fire up a new WIP, and otherwise looking for somewhere to hang out with writers. This is the first novel I've queried, so that was a step (waiting) that I had not really considered.

I write satire (not really on purpose, I just find it difficult to keep my characters from being smartasses, so I've finally just decided to embrase it). Thanks for having me.

Welcome, I'm swimming the same pond at the moment, querying my first revised MS and papering the walls with form rejections. They add a certain je ne sais quoi to the ambiance of my little writing area.

Satire is good. I never knew that Gulliver's Travels was satire until I got older. The teachers in school did not tell us. I expect they did not know. When I learned that, the book made so much more sense. Good luck in your waiting time.

Welcome, and good luck with that novel you've queried. Waiting isn't fun.
